Fun Physics, Motion & Flying Things: You will combine art, science, physics and fun to create fantastic things that fly, drop, roll, zip and zoom! Rockets, gliders, marble runs and much more hands-on fun with things that move!
Each day you will be emailed a lesson plan, a link to the project demonstration video and an invitation to join our live, interactive classroom on Zoom with Teacher Tim and other students where you can create, talk, ask questions and share.
4 days of enrichment fun!
This is a list of materials and supplies that you might need. All are readily available at any supermarket or hardware store. If you can't find something, we can make recommendations for substitutions.
Alka seltzer (or house brand)
500 ml. (16.9 oz) empty water bottle
22” x 28” posterboard (or 8x11 or 11x17 any thick paper is OK)
Cardboard box (square or rectangle with at least 12” sides)
Crescent rolls (pastry in a tube - Pillsbury or house brand)
Chocolate chips (or broken pieces)
Gumdrops & mini marshmallows
Popsicle sticks (at least 8)
Duct tape (any strong tape)
Wine bottle cork (synthetic is best but we can put others in plastic to make the seal airtight)
At home you probably have:
Crayons and markers, clear containers, measuring spoons, measuring cup, spoons large and small, water and an oven.
