Students create mosaic school sign

The sixth grade class at Odyssey School wanted to leave a legacy to the school. They decided on a mosaic sign spelling out the school name. The sign had to be big, beautiful and weatherproof.

We used tumbled stained glass, tile adhesive, cement board, grout and a whole load of student creativity to create this beautiful mosaic piece.

Students worked in teams with each team making a letter. They drew the letter in pencil on the board, applied adhesive & glass, let it dry, grouted it and mounted it on the side of the school building.
